Cambridge Camping is proud to offer a new support group for parents and caregivers in the Cambridge community to make connections and build community around supporting children.  There is an old adage that says "it takes a village to raise a child" and this program supports the relationships and provides resources that make our village work.  Participants are invited to join monthly meetings that will consist of community building activities, therapeutic exercises, self-care, and resource sharing.  This group is supported by a program director with experience in working with children with special needs as well as a social worker with important connections to services and resources around the city, and it is open to any parent or caregiver who would benefit from the sharing and listening of a caring community that meets outside the scope of school, health care, or other hard-to-navigate institutions and systems.  Cambridge Camping will provide a meal during each session and will also provide childcare on site if needed by attendees.

Meeting monthly on the fourth Thursday of each month starting on Sep 28 from 5:30 to 7:30PM.  The tentative schedule is as follows, avoiding holiday weekends: Sep 28, Oct 26, Nov 16, Dec 21, Jan 25, Feb 15, Mar 28, Apr 25, May 30, and Jun 27.

Contact Shilpa Kulkarni at shilpa@cambridgecamping.org to enroll.
