Bus Policies

Bus Information

  • Our three yellow camp buses  are named "Ladybug", "Dinosaur", and "Robot" and will be marked with the words “Cambridge Camping” plus a picture that matches the bus name.
  • Bus times can sometimes vary during the first week of camp!  Congestion from heavy traffic, road construction, and garbage trucks can make this a challenge. Our drivers are hard at work making the route more efficient each day.
  • We do not have alternate transportation options. If your child misses the bus then you are responsible for transportation to the camp in Concord.

Morning Bus Procedures

  • In the morning, families are responsible for getting their children to the bus stop 10 minutes before the scheduled time.  Camp staff are not responsible for supervising children at the bus stops before they board the bus.
  • Children are checked in and out by a bus monitor as they board the bus each morning.
  • We are not responsible for children before they board the bus in the morning and after they exit the bus in the afternoon.

Afternoon Bus Procedures

  • In the afternoon, families are responsible for picking up their children from the bus stop.  Please arrive at the bus stop 10 minutes early.
  • Children are checked in and out by a bus monitor as they board the bus each morning.
  • Your child will may not be allowed to exit the bus if an authorized pick-up person is not present at the bus stop.  In this case, the child will remain on the bus until the whole route is finished and the bus can return to the child's original stop again.
  • To change the authorized pick-up person, you must notify us in writing one week before the change.

Walking Home

  • Only children are are 10 years old and older are allowed to walk home from their bus stops unattended.  Families must give written permission to do so in their camper records on Ultracamp.
